Most of the store often life working a
few odd jobs. It's a way to make a little extra money to buy a few things that
we want. At that stage of our life, most of us are not self-supporting. We are
probably still living with our parents.
Most of the time, we want a job that
pays good with not much work. Application starts from submission of resume and
waiting for an interview if your employer is impressed with your submitted
resume. Thus, how would you leave a good impression to your employer upon
interview.
The first thing you want to consider
is are you dressed appropriately. Most jobs dictate that you wear a suit and
tie when you're being interviewed. If you're trying to apply for field work
such as construction, mine, farm, etc then you can just put on casual wears.
If you resort for a suit on your
interview then make sure it fits just right with your body. Always match a good
tie with your suit. Interviews are an essential part of the application process
and it is beneficial for you if you can make a good impression on the first
meeting such as an interview. You'll definitely want to show your best on this
scenario.
You should also have an idea about
company's demographics when you're trying to look good in an interview. You can
never have enough research in this regard. Just as everything else, you will
need to know as much as you can before a company before getting in. It is important
for you to know what the goals of the company are. Know the brand. Determine
what sort of products or services they are offering. Likewise, you should also
be aware of any logos or slogans that they have. Of course, you should also be
acquainted with the big shots in the company such as the managers, president
and others.
Doing this means you are comfortable
with the people in the organization they're about to ask you questions. Also,
you can include bits and pieces of the information that you have gathered in
their interview questions.
Of course, interview questions should
also be something that you will need to research on. Among those questions that
you should expect would be the question - why do you want to work in this
company? As soon as you've formulated a great answer for this, try to
incorporate the information about the company that you have researched. You
should also prepare yourself for more personal questions such as your
weaknesses. They ask you this question to get your reaction. Be prepared for
it. Try to imagine yourself doing the interview in front of a mirror and think
of good ways how you would say your answers. If asked about your weaknesses,
try to think of those common weaknesses that others have so you won't have to
be too hard up thinking of your own deficiencies.
You will also be required to talk
about any related experiences relating to the job. Should you have no other
work experience yet, you can just specify your key skills and expertise and
relate how it can help in your job. Be sure not to speak of false information.
Always be honest and try not to speak until spoken to.
Lastly, be sure to show gratitude at
the end of an interview. Regardless of what happens, it is always good to thank
the person who is interviewing you for the position. The simple gratitude will
leave a good impression towards work and will let them give you better chances
in getting a work.
